Ammonites combesi was named by Sornay (1951) [DISTRIBUTION: Turonian; Europe.]. It is not a trace fossil.

It was recombined as Spathites (Jeanrogericeras) combesi by Kennedy (1994), Barroso-Barcenilla (2007), Kennedy and Gale (2016).
