Syrella occidenta
Taxonomy
Syrella occidenta was named by Archbold (1996). Its type specimen is CPC 33883, a valve (Internal mould of conjoined shell and external mould of dorsal valve, ventral interarea, and umbo), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is BMR PB15, Fossil Hill, Eregulla Springs Station, which is in an Artinskian coastal sandstone/siltstone in the Mingenew Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Syrella.
