Taxonomy
Anourosorex kormosi was named by Bachmayer and Wilson (1970). It is not extant. Its type specimen is NHMW 1970/1389 Mandible dext. with m1-m3, a mandible. Its type locality is Kohfidisch, which is in a MN 11 terrestrial horizon in Austria.
It was recombined as Crusafontina kormosi by Van Dam (2004).

P4 with somewhat pointed anterior margin. M1 relatively wide transversely. Upper articular condyle of lower jaw oval rather than triangular. Lower articular condyle slightly visible in external view, anterior edge not extending forward beyond posterior border of superior pterygoid fossa. A relatively obscure pterygoid spicule. m3 reduced, but with small basined heel. Weak labial cingula in molars. Entoconids of molars slightly crested. | |
