Prototeius stageri
Taxonomy
Prototeius stageri was named by Denton and O'Neill (1995). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Ellisdale Site, which is in a Campanian estuary/bay sandstone in the Marshalltown Formation of New Jersey. It is the type species of Prototeius.
