Asiapternodus mackennai
Taxonomy
Asiapternodus mackennai was named by Lopatin (2003). Its type specimen is PIN, no. 3107/400, a maxilla (Incomplete right maxilla containing ê4-å3), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Khaichin Ula II [SMPE], which is in an Eocene terrestrial horizon in the Khaychin Formation of Mongolia. It is the type species of Asiapternodus.
