Eubalaena shinshuensis
Taxonomy
Eubalaena shinshuensis was named by Kimura et al. (2007). Its type specimen is SFMCV-0024, a partial skeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Shinshushinmachi, which is in a Messinian marginal marine horizon in the Gonda Formation of Japan.
