Type specimen: MCN.P.1317, an osteoderm (fixed osteoderm of the pelvic buckler). Its type locality is Curitiba, which is in a Bartonian floodplain mudstone/sandstone in the Guabirotuba Formation of Brazil.
Ecology: ground dwelling insectivore
Distribution: found only at Curitiba
