Type specimen: LACMIP 43085.47, a valve (tail valve). Its type locality is Super Creek "Imperial" Formation, which is in a Messinian marine siltstone in the "Imperial" Formation of California.
Ecology: facultatively mobile epifaunal grazer
Distribution: found only at Super Creek "Imperial" Formation
