- Cranioceras unicornis: Its type locality is Snake Creek Fauna, which is in a Barstovian/Clarendonian channel sandstone in Nebraska
- Cranioceras granti: Its type locality is Leptarctus Quarry, which is in a Clarendonian terrestrial horizon in the Ash Hollow Formation of Nebraska.
- Cranioceras mefferdi: Its type locality is Spring Canyon (Burge), which is in a Clarendonian terrestrial horizon in the Valentine Formation of Nebraska.
