Type specimen: JODA 8167, a skull (nearly complete skull with the left P2-M1, right P3-M1, and alveoli for the left P1 and M2). Its type locality is John Day Units E and F, which is in a Geringian terrestrial horizon in the John Day Formation of Oregon.

Ecology: scansorial carnivore-omnivore

Distribution:
