Type specimens:
- Paraentelodon intermedium: IPGAN 1964/56, a set of teeth. Its type locality is Benara, which is in an Oligocene terrestrial mudstone/sandstone in Georgia.
- Neoentelodon dzhungaricus: KAN 640/MP-58, a mandible. Its type locality is Sary-Ozek Station, which is in an Oligocene terrestrial sandstone in the Aktau Formation of Kazakhstan.
- Paraentelodon macrognathus: GVD 86008, a set of teeth. Its type locality is Jiaozigou, which is in an Oligocene/Burdigalian marine horizon in the Linxia Formation of China.
Ecology: ground dwelling omnivore

• Oligocene to Miocene of China (1 collection)
• Oligocene of China (1), Georgia (1), Kazakhstan (1)
