Type specimen: USNM 534040, a set of teeth (m1 and m2 from left mandible). Its type locality is Chesapeake Bay (Choptank), which is in a Barstovian terrestrial horizon in the Choptank Formation of Maryland.

Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore-omnivore

Distribution: found only at Chesapeake Bay (Choptank)
