Type specimen: SGOPV 2944, a mandible (right mandible with fragments and mold impressions (filled with resin during preparation) of dp1-m4). Its type locality is Tinguiririca Locality Sets 1 & 2, which is in an Oligocene terrestrial volcaniclastic in the Abanico Formation of Chile.

Ecology: scansorial omnivore

Distribution: found only at Tinguiririca Locality Sets 1 & 2
