Type specimen: UNSM 20030, a set of postcrania. Its type locality is 5 miles northeast of Elkader, which is in a Coniacian/Santonian offshore chalk in the Niobrara Formation of Kansas.
Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore
Distribution: found only at 5 miles northeast of Elkader
