Type specimen: UMIP 14391. Its type locality is Mount Sambosan, locality 4, which is in a Carnian reef, buildup or bioherm reef rocks in Japan.
Ecology: stationary intermediate-level epifaunal photosymbiotic-suspension feeder
Distribution: found only at Mount Sambosan, locality 4
