Type specimen: MCZ 1654, a partial skeleton. Its type locality is Railway cutting west of Massive (MCZ coll), which is in a Smithian marine sandstone in the Spray River Formation of Canada.

• Triassic of Canada (4: Alberta, British Columbia collections), Greenland (2)
Total: 6 collections each including a single occurrence
