Sister taxa: Sinemys chabuensis, Sinemys gamera, Sinemys lens

Type specimen: IVPP V9538-1, a partial skeleton (Nearly complete skeleton including the posterior part of the skull). Its type locality is Chabu Sumu (SCDP), which is in a Cretaceous fluvial-lacustrine mudstone in the Laohongdong Formation of China.

Ecology: aquatic omnivore

Distribution: found only at Chabu Sumu (SCDP)
