Sister taxon: Kurdalagonus maicopicus

Type specimen: NMRA 10476/1, a partial skull (posterior skull). Its type locality is Nagiezh-Uashkh, which is in a Serravallian/Tortonian deep-water sandstone in the Blinovo Formation of the Russian Federation.

Ecology: aquatic carnivore-suspension feeder

Distribution: found only at Nagiezh-Uashkh
