Sister taxa: Quemocuomegalodon longitatus, Quemocuomegalodon orientus

Type specimen: QMB 211, a shell. Its type locality is Qoima Co, Section A, which is in a Norian shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Jiapila Formation of China.

Ecology: stationary semi-infaunal suspension feeder

Distribution: found only at Qoima Co, Section A
