Type specimen: IVPP V16708, a skeleton (a nearly complete and articulated skeleton). Its type locality is Jianchang, which is in an Aptian lacustrine sandstone/mudstone in the Jiufotang Formation of China.
Ecology: ground dwelling carnivore
Distribution: found only at Jianchang
