Sister taxon: Austropsocidium stigmaticum
Type specimen: P. 218, a wing (Fore and Hind wing on top of each other). Its type locality is Warner's Bay, Belmont (Pincombe 1926 coll), which is in a Changhsingian pond chert in the Croudace Bay Formation of Australia.
Ecology:
Distribution: found only at Warner's Bay, Belmont (Pincombe 1926 coll)
