Type specimen: SBEI 1550, a maxilla. Its type locality is Kaseki-kabe (facies III), Shiramine, which is in a Barremian mire/swamp mudstone/sandstone in the Kuwajima Formation of Japan.

Distribution: found only at Kaseki-kabe (facies III), Shiramine
