• Belpberg Beds are composed by two conspicuous fossiliferous beds in the upper part: "Petrefactenlager" (fossiliferoous horizons in the upper part of sandstone and marl succession) in the middle part and the "Muschelsandstein" (coarse sandstone with bivalves, pebbles and shark teeth) at the top.
