When: Seroe Domi Formation, Late/Upper Miocene to Late/Upper Miocene (11.6 - 2.6 Ma)

• Biostratigraphy and strontium isotope dating suggest an age range from Middle Miocene (Langhian and Serravallian) for the lower part of the formation and Late Miocene-Pliocene (Tortonian-Piacenzian) or possibly early Pleistocene (Gelasian) for the upper part (Foulke et al., 1996; Budd et al., 1998).
