• Historical localities come from the Upper Muschelkalk, but the exact formation is unknown. The Laineck area spans the Illyrian and Fassanian (Diedrich, 2012). Fritsch (1899) describes Limulus priscus as coming from the "Muschelkalk-Dolomit", which might indicate the Meisßner Formation (Fassanian), which contains dolomitic units (Diedrich, 2012).
