• outcrop-level geographic resolution

When: Ptychagnostus gibbus zone, Downes Point Member (Shallow Bay Formation), Solvan (510.2 - 504.5 Ma)

• The biofacies for Boulder #269 is not able to be determined. While this monograph deals with the Kindle Zone 1, fauna of the Kindle Zones 2-5 can be found in Westrop et. al 1996. The Downes Point Member is about 100m thick and the general paleoenvironment is a shelf edge/upper slope environment which transported fossils as debris flows forming a deep water sediment apron..

• group of beds-level stratigraphic resolution

• The Onchocephalites biofacies has a lithology of peloidal lime mudstone and packstone.

Size classes: macrofossils, mesofossils

Collection methods: Not all boulders were assignable to a biofacies and only trilobites were described, however other taxa are not known to be omitted since there is no mention of them in the text. The trilobites described here are part of the C. H. Kindle Collection at the Geological Survey of Canada.
