Where: Queensland, Australia (24.5° S, 150.1° E)
• Paleocoordinates: 59.9° S, 159.6° E (Wright 2013)
When: Echinalosia warwicki brachiopod zone, Back Creek Group, Kungurian (279.3 - 272.3 Ma)
• Presence of Echinalosia warwicki suggests the E. warwicki zone, correlated with the lower part of the APP3.1 palynomorph zone (Briggs, 1998). The APP3.1 zone does not have any radiometric constraints, although the top of the overlying APP3.2 is around 271.6 Ma (Laurie et al., 2016), placing it near the Kungurian-Roadian boundary or in the lower Roadian. Phillips et al. (2018) place APP3.1 in the Kungurian, which is consistent with the presence of the ammonoid Neocrimites in APP3.1 of the the Tiverton Formation (although not unequivocal).
• group of beds-level stratigraphic resolution
